Our client wanted their small first floor bathroom with separate toilet to be modernised for their two daughters to share as they grow up. The brief was all about maximising space and thinking of the practicalities of bathing two small children.

To allow for more floor space in the bathroom we moved the position of the bath under the window and added a shower screen that folded completely back to allow for an easy bath time. This allowed for a spacious sink with a vanity unit for essential storage and we replaced all fixtures and fittings. In the separate WC we simply redecorated.

We covered the shower walls in a herringbone pink gloss tile, which continued onto the front of the bath to make a real feature of this room. We chose traditional fixtures and fittings, a ceramic sink with white stone surround and dark grey vanity unit underneath with marble effect tiles on the floor. Continuing with the traditional style we covered a third of the walls with a pale grey tongue and groove cladding.

In the separate toilet we continued the light grey tongue and groove with traditional fixture and fittings. With the addition of a William Morris wallpaper to bring a bit of glamour, a beautiful fluted glass pendant with brass fittings and herringbone oak parquet flooring, this really is a WC worth spending time in!
